Art has always been part of me, long before I even understood what it meant to “be an artist.” As a child, I would fill pages with drawings, unaware of what they meant, just following instinct. When I first started painting, it was nature that truly inspired me. I was always amazed by how peaceful and beautiful the world looked. I wanted to capture those little moments on canvas. And sometimes, I’d find myself drawn to portraits too, especially when I felt a connection with someone’s expression or mood. That’s how I got into painting which started with simply looking around and feeling something real.
As I grew older, life pulled me toward more conventional paths. Art slowly became something I admired from a distance. I never studied it formally, but the urge to create never left. I began exploring on my own, learning the basics of sketching and painting through online tutorials and local workshops. That small door led me back to something that always felt like home.
After graduation, I made a choice, to no longer treat art as just a hobby, but as a calling. That’s when Art by Kashish truly began to take shape, a space for my growth, my voice, and my work.
The journey hasn’t been linear or easy. But I’ve learned that what makes a story meaningful isn’t how perfect it is, but how true it feels. To anyone feeling lost, I want you to know that it’s never too late to listen to yourself. Your path is still yours to choose.
